Xl Gerardmer to conclude the season ... Half


Depart 9:30 under sunny skies, a weather looks great XL for this triathlon will be my third participation after 2007 and 2008 and 1st Half the format.

I leave a little edgy for 93km in the Vosges bike rider and just extenders (given the altitude and my profile is what I needed);
As usual, I go back seats. After 15 km there is the head of the women's race and I am beginning the second round in 13th position with two cyclists in the spotlight.


triathletes I caught these two just before the neck of Feignies and one of them is none other than Stephan Bayliss, several times winner of Ironman. I'm still in the forcing of the neck and I get to pick Feignies another triathlete. Bayliss follow my rhythm at the regulation distance for 30 kms.



25 kms to lay the bike, I began to jam (the remains of Chtriman??:)) I eat well it'll get better remain confident! That's when my fellow road decide to leave me alone with my fate in the Vosges mountains (it will take me one minute the end of the last round and come see me again after arrival to discuss, the nice boy;)). I try to go on a large pace but I am very difficult to go under 3min50 per km (average of the final 4min08:)). I see in the distance a triathlete, it's Benjamin Pernet, I paused at their own pace, I run like that, you hang on, anything can happen! Behind it runs about the same, I must bite the bullet because my body makes me slow but I do not want!

At the start of the second round, I'm always keyed to the pace of Pernet and I come back gradually on Damien Favre Felix. I manage to take the other side of the lake. I repeat also Cyril, a friend of the club's first round, we encourage each other that makes always good! That

already the last lap and a guy comes over me, I loose (I also lose sight of Burnett) and I can not do anything, despite the encouragement of another friend of Bertrand club. They are everywhere Lille:)! Shortly after I caught Cornofulgure;) finally a Gerardmer in good weather;)

Last 6 kilometers will be physically very hard, I fight and I have to finish in a sprint triathlon this not to see me fall upon Sylvain Denis . It just happened!



I crossed the line in 12th position 1:27 to 4:47 ET semi, happy to finish and a first top 15 on this triathlon Gerardmer, the season ends in style. ( arrival here in video )

The 2010 season ends, therefore, triathlon and now this wonderful place to rest! :)
